Woohoo! I finally changed the layout. It only took me a year. :P And my domain is finally back up. There were some problems with the server or something and large amounts of domains had to be transferred. Luckily, I didn't lose anything. I am still debating as to whether or not I should renew my domain. I really would like to have it and mess around with that stuff more, but real life gets in the way, along with slow internet connection. Overall, I am just depressed because I can't find a good job and because I have no boyfriend. I would even settle for a date on Friday nights, but noooo. Oh well. I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day if I don't blog before then. And I probably won't. ;)

To all fanlisting owners, my domain is down and I don't know why. I am trying to get ahold of the girl who hosts it, but I am not getting any response. Please hold off on deleting my info until I can figure this out. I really don't want to go through all my codes and change my info, especially on dial-up. :) Unfortunately, I think that all my stuff is lost anyway, but I'm workin' on it.

Well, it's been such a long time since I've blogged. I'm not sure if I even want to maintain this blog anymore. I mean, when I do have the need to blog I usually do it on my LJ, which is friends only, but I am not that selective as to who can read. I just don't want my family or offline friends reading it. I don't know, maybe I will turn this into something else. I'll have to think about it I guess. You can read the longwinded entry about what's been happening with me on my LJ if you're a member. I will add you as a friend if you comment on the first entry. :)

Somebody stole my digital camera while I was in the fucking house! I was upstairs and someone left the door open downstairs where my room is. Somebody must have walked in and swiped it without me even noticing. I hate the world we live in. I bet the person didn't even need the money either. They just stole my camera because they saw the opportunity and it was too easy (thanks to stupid drunk friends of my roommates. It's the most expensive thing Mike has ever bought me and I want to cry because I know that he saved up so long to get me that. I am going to feel so bad when I have to tell him. I HATE stupid people! I am so angry, I want to hurt someone. I wish I knew who the hell did it so I could kick them in their ball sack and watch them squirm.

...OK, that felt good. I am done venting for now. But I am still sad. I miss Mike.

Well, it seems as though I have all but abandoned my online life. In a way, it's been kind of liberating in the sense that I fell like I have less obligations, but I do miss the designing aspect of it. I think that it helped cultivate the artistic side of me. I go back to school on Sunday so I will have high speed internet again! Woohoo! I'm sure I will get back into the webdesign stuff then. And also the blogging.

I finished my pear weighing job. It was sad to for me to go, but they offered me the job next year too, so if I'm around I will definitely take it. The people there are really nice and you can't beat a job where you pretty much sit around and read novels all day and get paid $8/hour. :P I finished 5 and a half books in 3 and a half weeks. And some of them were close to 500 pages. Mwahaha. That was a great job. The stupid other people never called for me to work at concerts except once and that happened to be the weekend I had to work overtime. Oh well, I think I would have been exhausted out of my mind if I had two jobs and worked nonstop all week. I wouldn't even have gotten any sleep on Sunday nights. I guess things worked out for the best, but the extra money would have been nice.

I wish my MP3 player would get here already. It won't get here until I'm already in SB though, I bet. I'll have to give my mom money to send it to me via USPS. UPS is waaaay too slow. I have to tracking number and the package has been sitting in SoCal for an entire day. It could have gotten here already, dammit! Oh well. An extra $8 is not too bad. I got it on Ebay for $140 shipped. It's a Creative Zen Xtra, 30GB. You can view the specs here. I am so excited to get it and start playing around with it. I've never had an mp3 player! :)

Anyway, I am going to watch the Wedding Date and then finish separating the clothes out that I want to donate or hand down to younger cousins, from the clothes that I want to keep but leave at my parents house, from clothes that I want to take with me to Santa Barbara. Certain things like down vests are just not really needed in Santa Barbara through December. Maybe they are never needed in Santa Barbara. It's never all that cold there. It rains a lot in certain years, but it's really not that cold. I still wear flip-flops in the rain! :P

I can't believe I haven't blogged in almost a month. It's just not worth it to get online when you get kicked off repeatedly. Plus, I was waiting to hear from my work about when I start. Apparently they are behind schedule with the pears, so I don't start until Monday. But at least I know when I start now. Konocti also called about doing security for Boardstock and the next weekend also. Unfortunately, the guy who called me didn't specify 7:30 AM vs. 7:30 PM for the interview. So now I have no idea what to do. I called the guy back but only got his voicemail. I hope he will call me before 7 AM tomorrow because it takes half an hour to get to Konocti from my house and I won't make it if he calls too late to say that it actually is in the morning. Oh well, it would be good extra income, but not totally necessary. Anyway, I probably won't blog again until I go back to school. It's just too much of a hassle. But I might post a picture of my new haircut. I really like it. It makes my hair look thicker and in better condition. :)

Well, I finally got a job! And I got my driver's license. Not sure if I already mentioned that or not in my blog. The job will hopefully be pretty easy. It's $8/hour and I am called the "Weighmaster". :P I have to weigh the shipping trucks that are filled with pears and do the paperwork that says how much etc. I applied to be a packer/sorter, but they figured since I had a college education they might as well use me in a position that requires some math. I am really excited and so relieved that I finally have a freakin' job. Seems like nobody would even give me an interview. I haven't been on the internet in so long. I din't want to tie up the phone line in case someone called for a job for me. :) My sister got a job at a retail store in Calistoga/St. Helena where they sell really expensive stuff like Cosabella panties that cost $100. Anyway, Minnie Driver came into the store the other day and my sister helped her. I guess she bought a $200 shirt and her real name is Amelia, according to her credit card. :P My sister just started working there, but one of the other girls that has worked there longer said that Teri Hatcher came in a couple of weeks ago. Her desription of her was that she was "really skinny with big boobs." :P That could almost describe anyone in Hollywood, but oh well. :) I desperately need to get into shape. I have gained about 10 pounds since I have been home. I hate being fat.

I haven't blogged in so long. Mostly because I have been trying to find a job and trying not to tie up the phone lines. Plus this dial-up is so slow most of the time I cannot accomplish anything until after 11 PM. I really need a job and I should get my driver's license but I suck at driving and I am almost sure that I will fail my test. It makes me cry so much, but I am just imcompetent. I don't think anyone could help me. And I miss being able to talk to my boyfriend because my cell phone doesn't work up here in the mountains. He's my best friend and I can't even talk to him. My life is not very happy at the moment.

Well, this week has been rather uneventful. Nothing too exciting. I got my case study back. I got a low "B" but I was expecting that because the printers are crap in the library and they don't print color. This made all my bar graphs look the same and that means they were pretty much useless. Oh well. I got my Human Sexuality test back and I got an "A". Woohoo! :) Too bad I am taking that class Pass/No Pass instead for a letter grade. At least this way, I won't have to study so hard for the final. I will have time to study for the other finals that I need to get "A"s on.

My roommates are all moving out tomorrow. It's kind of sad because the apartment looks so empty, but at the same time it makes me super excited. It means summer is coming!! Yeah. Summer is <3. It also means I will have a few days to myself. I am not sure if the managers will make me move into a different room (because they are just dicks that way) or not, but I hope they don't. I only have three more weeks of class before I move out permanently. But they are pretty lame when it comes to shit like this, so who knows. I'll have to start all over and live with new, probably crappy, roommates. Not my idea of fun but whatever. Life isn't always perfect.

On Monday, we had Shaun Thomson give a guest lecture. He gave us a "Surfer's Code" that he made up and had a lot of interesting stories to tell. He seems like a really awesome guy. Makes me want to surf even though I would totally suck at it. :) I am content with worshipping the ocean's beauty from afar though. <3

I am working on a new layout. It features stills from an awesome movie that I just bought. "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe (hello! <3), Tony Curtis, and Jack Lemmon. It is super funny. If you have never seen it, I highly recommend. It's an old b/w movie but it's still very funny. ;) I am also trying to figure out how to add content on pitas without having to use Geocities ir something. I am sure I will figure it out someday. :)

Life is so boring right now. All I want to do is sleep.

I have wrinkles under my eyes now. I am 22 years old and I have the wrinkles of a 45 year old. They literally have sprung up within this past week. And you can totally tell when I smile because the skin around my eyes gets stretched and it creates these big creases where there never used to be any. I think it has something to do with the acne medication (benzoyl peroxide) that I was using. It got too close to my eye area and has burned a lot of the top layer of skin off. I think this is what is causing the skin under my eyes to pull in a weird way. I don't know. I am not sure, but I just hope that this isn't permanent. It is causing me much distress. On top of that, my face is peeling off and I can't wear makeup without looking like a freak. It's making me self-conscious! Urgh!

Anyway, I must be going to class now. We are having a guest speaker in Geography of Surfing. His name is Shaun Thomson and he was a pro surfer years ago. Now he lives in SB and has a clothing store. I'm sure it will be interesting. :) I don't surf, but it's cool to learn about something that so many of my peers are into. I think I am far too uncoordinated to ever try to surf, but it's cool to watch surf films and see other people get stoked about it.

I really should blog more, but I guess I just get too distracted these days.

Well, I fixed the whole internet issue by going to CompUSA and buying an ethernet adapter that plugs into the USB port instead of the onboard ethernet jack on my computer. It kind of sucks that I don't have that extra USB port, but it's so much easier to get on the internet now. It is unbelievable how fast everything goes now that there is no looseness of the cable. I wish I had known about this about three years ago. Then I would have never even bothered to get the thing fixed in the first place. They kept my comnputer for like three months one time. Anyway, I am happy! ;)

Today I worked on my case study for tropical ecology all day long and just came to print it out in the library. I started at 8AM and I finished by 2PM. I guess that's what I get for procrastinating. It's due today at 5PM. :P I'm just glad it's freakin' done! I don't have Excel on my computer, so I was trying to use OpenOffice as a replacement because it's free. That was a bad idea. That program is soooo slow when you have to open an excel file that's bigger than one worksheet and the one I was working on had like 10 worksheets. o_O This is the one time that I believe that a Microsoft product is truly better than anything else you can find. But then again, I still hate Microsoft because they overprice their software so college students like me who need it for assignments can't even get it! Grr. I wish there was a better competitor out there for these kinds of things. Super cheap and the same quality or at least somewhat close. Oh well, at least it's done now. I hope that the next case study does not have spreadsheet work, but I am almost positive it will. I guess if I plan ahead then maybe I can use the lab computers. At least then I won't sit on my ass and eat while I am working. ;)

I am really missing the internet lately. I haven't really done much with any of my sites, which is quite sad. I think this weekend will be a good time to catch up with that stuff. But Friday I get to see the Goonies at IV Theatre. Woohoo! I love that movie. I almost bought it this weekend, but they didn't have it at Borders. So I bought Stand By Me instead. That's another super good 80's movie. And they both have Corey Feldman in them. Come to think of it, I like Lost Boys too, which also has him in it! Weird. I must have a hidden Feldman fetish. :P

Well, I must be going to class now to discuss the shitty case study that I did. :)

Looks like my internet has crapped out for good at home. It's the same damn problem with the ethernet port on my computer that Sony already repaired two (or three?) times. I can't even remember how many times it has had to go in for repair now. And of course, it has to crap out now that the warranty is up. Hopefully I can have it fixed for cheap or I can work something else out for next year where I do not have to use the ethernet port. I guess it depends on whether or not we'll have dial-up or Cable or what. I'm still not sure. I guess I will worry about it when the time comes.

I haven't been doing much lately. I have been super tired. Mike has a job that works from 7:30 at night to 5:30 in the morning or so and he insists on calling me at all hours of the night. :/ I love him but I don't know if I will be able to take the weird hours and the late phone calls. I think I am going to tell him to call on the weekends. I need my sleep, especially now that it's midterm time.

I have THREE midterms this week. Can you believe that? I think I might have to forgo sleeping altogether if I am going to pass all of them. I got an A on my first Soc exam and an A- on my first Geography exam. I'm quite proud of myself, but this week and next week is going to be hell and I think that my average will go down because of it. Oh well, no internet to distract me! :P

I don't know if I ever wrote out what my class schedule is yet, so I figure I will tell you now.

Sociology 152A - Human Sexuality
Geography 20 - Geography of Surfing (One of the benefits of living in Santa Barbara ;))
EEMB 159 - Tropical Ecology
Environmental Studies 173 - American Environmental History

I am enjoying all of my classes, but there is a lot of material that I need to study. Ick.

Anyway, I better go find a computer that lets me check my Gmail. For some reason some of the library computers don't allow you to do that. Weird.

I read an article in my school's newspaper on Thursday that really made me sad. Apparently they are thinking about allowing people in Wisconsin to hunt free-roaming cats! I'm sorry, but that is the most disgusting thing I have heard in a long time. For one thing, the reason there are so many feral cats running around this country is because of people, not because they are some species that miraculously overpopulated the earth. I understand that they are eating birds, which we should also protect, but that doesn't mean we should go around shooting cats! I don't know about other states, but there are such things as feral cat farms here in Cali where the cats can go and live out natural lives. And if we absolutely have to, we could euthanize them. We shouldn't allow people to go around killing cats in the neighborhood. The same thing is happening with the debate about feral pigs on the Channel Islands right off the coast of Cali where I live. People are the ones that put the pigs on the islands in the first place, but now because they are attracting a certain type of raptor, they are endangering the island fox. So people are going out there and shooting all the pigs and just disposing of their bodies. I just don't understand how we can live in a society where we have technology for I-pods and cell phones, and yet we can't manage to come up with solutions to problems that are more advanced than shooting housecats and pigs. It's just sad to me. :( If you want to read more about it, there is an article on CNN.com. In personal news, there isn't much to talk about. :P I'm just going to school and taking tests and whatnot. Nothing too exciting. My classes are very interesting this quarter. When I am able to work on this site more I will put some more info about myself up, including classes and such. I miss my content. :) I just don't get online as much as I would like to. Oh well. I guess it might be a good sign that I have a life outside the internet? I don't know. Maybe I am just lazy. ;)

I am desperately trying to get everything on my new domain working, but it's kind of difficult considering that the only place I can access my control panel is through the libarary computers. I hate the stupid LAN that my computer is on in my building. They have some lame firewall that basically allows you to do very little except check your e-mail and surf certain sites. Thank goodness this is the last quarter that I will have to step foot in that building! :P Anyway, hopefully everything will be up and running soon, although the whole shop thing will most likely have to wait until summer. For now, I will only have certain sites like my icons site, my fanlistings, and special hostees on crafty-kitten.net. I will blog more later, but now I have to get to my sex class! :)

I made a new layout for this blog. I won't be using this blog until after my domain expires, but I made this layout and it doesn't really fit well with my domain, so I decided to put this up instead. I figured I might as well fix the coding and everything on here so when I do use this, I won't have to mess with it much. :)
